Memory Maker photo accessories are produced by Key Item Sales, Inc. Jeff and Abbie Rapport founded this family operated jewelry company in 1988. Jeff heads up the sales and marketing, while Abbie is in charge of design and production. From the very beginning, Abbie’s goal was to create beautiful jewelry that would bring a smile to your face.

Being a full time working Mom with three kids, Abbie is a last minute gift shopper. After Abbie’s third son was born in 1992 she went in search of the perfect gift for her Mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. She wanted a gift that was special and endearing, something that allowed the proud Grandmother to show the world how much she loved her three grandsons.

Abbie searched malls and specialty stores, but found only very expensive or very ordinary gifts. Frustrated, she sat down and designed Birthstone Brats. These little boy and girl figures set with Swarovski crystal birthstones could be purchased, strung and given as an instant gift. Birthstone Brats became the hottest jewelry item for 1995, 1996 and 1997 and has brought smiles and tears to the millions of Moms and Grandmas that have received them. Today, Birthstone Brats have been recognized as one of the most popular jewelry items in the last 25 years!

HOW MEMORY MAKER STARTED

Abbie is very proud of her three boys and has frames with their pictures all over her house and office. When she travels she carries pictures in her wallet. Returning from a business trip, in 2002, Abbie’s seatmate was a grandmother with six grandchildren. The Grandmother pulled out a large album and proceeded to share her family photos. Abbie in turn retrieved the pictures from her wallet. She noticed how worn and creased her pictures appeared and wished she had a better way to show off her family.

Then she got an idea! She thought, “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a piece of jewelry that would allow you to carry around pictures of your children, grandchildren, pets, boyfriend, family members, even your vacation?” The result was Memory Maker Photo Bracelets. The patent pending bracelet and reduction system, allows the customer to take any photo to a color copier and easily reduce the pictures. Each picture fits perfectly every time! Best of all the process is so easy to do that you can change pictures whenever you want.

Abbie loved the thought of being able to give a unique and personalized present to all of her family and friends. When she shared the new bracelet with them it was instant love and cries of when can we have them! Most of the pictures that appear in the bracelets are real pictures of Abbie and Jeff’s family and friends.
